Urooj Qureshi, President & Chief Strategist, Dakima Marketing & Communications
Entrepreneur and community advocate, Urooj Qureshi has served an impressive roster of private, public and non-profit organizations. A new Canadian who arrived in 2002, Urooj is recognized for his commitment and contributions to community while successfully running his own commercial enterprise. In 2007, Urooj founded Dakima, Ottawa's first marketing and communications firm specializing in intercultural and community engagement strategies. The inspiration and motivation to establish Dakima comes from the statistical and subjective observation of Canada's shifting socio-demographic society. Canada is a nation of Aboriginals and immigrants that offers a unique opportunity for innovation and enterprise. Dakima helps organizations speak the language of Canada to create capital and social success in the marketplace. Urooj also holds memberships to the Canadian Community Leaders Network, Inter-faith Committee at Habitat for Humanity, Marketing and Management Studies Advisory Committee at Algonquin College and as well as the office of Campaign Director at Serenity Renewal for Families. |
