Born in 1966 and titular of a M.Sc. in environmental science, Mr Tremblay has continuously worked in environmental impact assessment, sustainable development promotion and waste management since 1990.
After a two-year stint in the Tecsult consulting firm in Montreal, Mr Tremblay has occupied various environment advisor positions in the City of Gatineau (before and after amalgamation) ever since 1992. During that period, he has contributed to the City's first waste management plan as well as nuisance regulations, noise level and control, mosquito control using Bti, lake eutrophication management, contaminated site restoration program and an upcoming wetland municipal conservation strategy.
In addition to his municipal career, Mr. Tremblay has been a five-time president of the AOMGMR, an NGO that unites Québec cities on waste management issues, and is a part-time teacher both at the Collegiate, undergraduate and graduate level.
