Discussion on the integrated design and development of Manitoba Hydro Place, the new 690,000 sq.ft. corporate headquarters for Manitoba Hydro. Methods developed to balance corporate requirements, signature architecture, sustainability & energy efficiency, urban design and project budget to achieve the most energy efficient office tower in Canada.

Dr. Holgar Kolley, German Embassy, Ottawa

Germany holds a significant share of the world market on many environmental technology fields. Employment in this sector has grown by 55 percent in the last three years, up to 250.000 highly qualified workplaces in the end of 2008, the sector recorded a turnover of 25 billion Euro. By the end of next decade more people will be employed in Germany’s enviro-technology industry than in the automotive sector.
