Employment in this sector has grown by 55 percent in the last three years, up to 250.000 highly qualified workplaces in the end of 2008, the sector recorded a turnover of 25 billion Euro. By the end of next decade more people will be employed in Germany’s enviro-technology industry than in the automotive sector.
