Emerging Markets for Ecosystem Services - Harnessing the Market for Sustainable Resource Use David Greenall is the Ottawa Practice Leader for Deloitte's Sustainability & Climate Change Practice. He has more than 14 years experience in the field of sustainability performance management, within the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. A skilled facilitator with extensive experience in public consultation, David has led numerous multi-stakeholder dialogues, deliberations, roundtables and working groups on issues concerning energy, water resources, climate change, corporate sustainability, and aboriginal affairs. In the area of climate change, he has worked with numerous clients to successfully develop climate-change policy, risk management and implementation frameworks, and has assisted clients through sometimes challenging and contentious multi-stakeholder conflicts. David is a member of Deloit's global Climate Change and Clean Energy practice, and is primarily focused on the firm's climate change mitigation and adaptation solution offering. In this capacity, he advises clients on the energy production, infrastructure, operating, financial and strategic risks and opportunities of regulatory, market and changing climatic conditions. Prior to joining Deloitte, David spent 8 years as Principal Research Associate Energy, Environment and Transportation at The Conference Board of Canada, Canada's foremost independent business research institute. In this capacity, David led the development of the Leaders' Roundtable on Climate Change Adaptation, and consulted widely with organizations on ways to effectively manage their climate risks. He is also the founder and former managing director of the Carbon Disclosure Project - Canada initiative. |
